Guillaume Krivtchik

I build and use modelling and optimisation tools for energy systems. I also write about technical questions that arise from this work.

I have worked on modelling low-carbon energy systems since 2011. I currently work on energy systems modelling at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency. Previously, I worked as an energy systems modelling engineer at Terra Praxis and as a research engineer at CEA, where I focused on modelling nuclear fuel cycle scenarios and industrial decarbonisation.

Open-source projects

Energy systems optimisation

  • Nosy.jl: composable, component-based energy system modelling and optimisation toolkit. Maturity: used in production, including at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency.
  • EnergyPathway.jl: capacity expansion pathway layer built on top of Nosy.jl. Maturity: prototype.

Nuclear fuel modelling

  • NuclearFuelScenario.jl: small and fast nuclear fuel model for supply chain analysis. Maturity: experimental, but already used for analysis.
